Things to do in Kremmling

Kremmling, Colorado, is a small town tucked in a valley in the peaks of the Rocky Mountain National Forest in the middle of Colorado. At first glance, it may seem like there is not much to this tiny town. In reality, Kremmling is the perfect town for anyone looking for the perfect Colorado adventure. Not only is the fly fishing in the area amazing, but there is also access to almost every outdoor activity that Colorado has to offer.

Colorado River Rafting

If white water rafting or other river sports are your desire, check out AVA’s Kremmling outpost. They not only raft on the Colorado River, but they also offer stand-up paddleboards and inflatable kayaking. The trips on the Colorado River run from family-friendly float trips to overnights. AVA also runs one of the most advanced stretches of whitewater in the United States, Gore Canyon. This is not a trip for the faint of heart and requires a person to pass a swimming and endurance test before they can raft on Gore Canyon. You can also make your own raft trip and rent rafting and other gear out of AVA’s Kremmling outpost!

Off-Road Tours

If an adventure where you stay a little drier is more to your liking, check out RZR off-road tours. You must be 18 to drive and 12 to ride, but off-roading near Kremmling is definitely something to check off of your bucket list. RZR tours will take you through 20,00 acres of wilderness and 300 miles of trail.

If you’re looking for activities that are fun for the whole family, stop by Rusty Spurr Stables. They offer horseback riding for the whole family. You can take a tour for 1, 2, and, 3 hours through the breathtaking scenery of the Rocky Mountains. They also offer cattle drives for a very unique Colorado experience.

After a long day of rafting, off-roading, or horseback riding stop by Radium Hot Springs. The mineral-rich pools situated on the right next to the Colorado River are the perfect way to wind down and soothe those sore muscles.
